About your feature: Kearah-Armonie(Kearmonie) is a Brooklyn based poet, spoken word artist, MC, Filmmaker, Blogger, and Writer. Kearmonie started performing spoken word in 2011 through Urban Word NYC and is now a Udub mentor and teaching artist. She is a three-time member of the Brooklyn College Slam Team, who ranked 12th in the nation at CUPSI this year, and their 2016 Grand Slam Champion. Her most recent documentary short, “BLK GRL POET” a spoken word driven chronicle of the Black Lives Matter protests in NYC, will premeire at The Women of African Descent Film Festival on May 7th.
