A partnership with elite literary organizations for writers of color to host events that place one youth poet in conversation and performance with an established, award-winning writer of the same identity.

Page Meets Stage is a quarterly collaborative event with Cave Canem, CantoMundo, Kundiman, and Asian American Writers’ Workshop (AAWW). Fellows and writers from these prestigious organizations are paired with emerging teen poets from Urban Word NYC and will engage in dynamic reading and conversations about their works. Resulting in the creative and professional growth of young writers of color, providing a pipeline to professional networks and artistic communities. The aim of this program is to expose and connect fellows and writers with teen poets, and to give them opportunities to mentor and work with grassroot community organizations.
